Clubs and organizations are a great way to gain valuable experiences during your time at TSJC- Valley campus!
Student Life and the Student Government Association is here to help any and all student, staff, or faculty member get involved! Whether it’s joining a club, starting a new club on-campus, or being a part of the existing opportunities. How about a ski or snowboard club, multicultural awareness club, volunteerism club, Poker club? Any idea that will support the involvement of TSJC students is a good idea! If you do not see a club listed that perks your interest, please visit the How to Start a Club section on this site OR come see Coordinator of Student Life, Jeni Carter, in the Student Life Office. firstname.lastname@example.org- (719) 589-7086.
Did you know that getting involved on campus during your college years….
**Allows students to build a connection with the school and their peers.
**Guides students to find their passion and strengths, skills and abilities.
**Prepares students for their professional roles; teaches professional skills such as leadership, communication, team-work, etiquette, time-management, organization, conflict resolution, and so much more!
**Resume builder! We hear this a lot, get involved because it’s good for your resume—because it is. Really! A student who has a 4.0 GPA but has no involvement proves that he is really good at school; whereas a student with a 3.8 GPA who was President of the Student Government, volunteered, and even was a member of the Poker Club shows that he/she can manage their time, work in a team, has a leadership potential, and is familiar with more than just classroom learning.
**Higher graduation and on-time completion rates among students who become involved.by Jeni_C
